Antony FRH lame
"An ironic destiny" were the words Isabell Werth used for the bad luck that came over her in 'the city of luck and fortune' Las Vegas when 19 year old Antony FRH didn't pass the first vetcheck. Isabell Werth noticed early yesterdaymorning herself that Antony really suffered from lameness and didn't bring him for the second vetcheck anymore. "Antony really has always done what came up in his own mind, that's why I call it an ironic destiny that even his last farewell-show didn't go like I had planned", said Werth, who is planning to say goodbye another time in Germany in a show, not in competition anymore. Bad luck for Isabell Werth was luck for reserve Evi Strasser who took the place

Standing ovation for Debbie McDonald
A standing ovation rewarded home favourite Debbie McDonald and Brentina for their faultless presentation. The record crowd was amazing anyway, being present with 6000 only to watch a trainingsession yesterday! Gal and Lingh win GP

Edward Gal and Geldnet Lingh win Grand Prix!
While Edward Gal and Geldnet Lingh were performing the pirouettes, the excited public recognized the topclass performance and already softly started with ‘oh’ and ‘ah’…They were right! He did win the class after a wonderful ridden test of the reigning Olympic champion Anky van Grunsven with Salinero which sometimes revealed some tenseness

- News from IOC/FEI April 21 2005:
Last Tuesday April 19th the IOC decided that the equestrian sports in 2008 will be held in Hong Kong on 3 hours flying distance from Olympic city Beijing. The FEI immediately made an official appeal against this decision, after which the IOC decided to withdraw their decision and take some more time to find a solution for the veterinary issues involved.
