FACTS
- Olympic Champion Anky van Grunsven for the first time after her Olympic victory and the birth of her son Yannick Janssen competed again and won the four Grand Prix competitions at Indoor Brabant!
- Rabobank and the Dutch Equestrian Federation KNHS introduced the Rabo Rankings, a ranking for the top rider-horse-combinations of each Olympic disciplin. Not surprisingly Anky van Grunsven- Keltec Salinero are on place number 1, Edward Gal- Lingh on number 2, Anky van Grunsven – IPS Krack C on number 3. A price money of €15.000 for the top 10 and a special trophy for the horse-owner is included each year
- The Dutch Equestrian Federation KNHS introduced the national colour orange more obviously in their official outfits, showing an orange collar and accents at the dressage-freak and a total orange coloured jacket for the jackets of the show jumping riders. Dutch national champion Edward Gal already weared the new outfit in the arena at ‘s-Hertogenbosch
- British rider Carl Hester for the first time enjoyed competing in the world cup this season. Next week he will be moving to a brand new own property in England, including an old mill and lots of grass around!
- Swedish team chances are improved now, after Danish rider Per Sandgaard who lost Zancor to German Nadine Capellman got the promising Memphis (ex Kebie van der Heyden) as his new mount and decided to apply for Swedish citizenship
- Alexandra Simons-de Ridder brought a visit to the ‘s-Hertogenbosch-CSI/CDI as a visitor after two weeks Sunshine Tour competing with Wellington (sired by Wanderer).”This week I am a mother again and am happy to leave the victory to British Wayne Channon on Lorenzo”, Alexandra commented. After her gold medal in Sydney 2000 she already brought three horses to Grand Prix-level
